3 major things that could happen if the US joins the war
The Israel-Iran (and America) war is in its second week. Donald Trump, in keeping with his characteristic features, has made some empty threats, but has not yet made any decision on direct American intervention in the war.
The Europeans want to avoid the risk of another major Middle East war. Because the flow of millions of refugees as a result of the Iraq-Syria war has already shaken the entire European welfare state. The flow of 90 million people from Iran will pose a serious risk to European states. For all these reasons, the Europeans have taken some initiatives to stop the war. However, whether it will work or not will depend on the deep state of Israel and America.
The direction in which the war situation is heading so far, there is a risk that it will turn into a war of attrition; that is, a protracted war. The question is, what could happen if the war really turns into a protracted war?
There are three major possibilities.
First, Israel’s chances of winning a protracted war are close to zero. They could launch a nuclear attack on Iran as a last resort (the Samson option). However, it does not seem to be able to prevent their final defeat.
Second, Iran would become a virtually ineffective state in a protracted war. All its vital infrastructure will be destroyed. But the ‘Iran underground’ will continue its resistance war, the impact of which will be far-reaching.
Third, the American empire will collapse and America will be embroiled in a prolonged internal fratricidal conflict. American Zionism will collapse and seek new refuge. The consequences of each event will be far-reaching. Some aspects of these issues have been analyzed in this article.
